Meet the Harvest Moon Band
Kay Schweiger (aka 'Evil Eye')
Bassist, six- and twelve-string acoustic and electric guitars, vocals, and flute!
Everyone starts by singing to the radio, right? Kay's love of music has led to flute and guitar, which has led to church, rock n roll and look out! all kinds of doors have opened. She joined the group in 1995 via the Catholic Church. Since then she has provided us with those McCartney-style walking bass lines and harmonies. Keeping our music in the original form is the main goal (thus, Evil Eye). The lifetime friends made during this faith and music journey are simply THE BEST TIMES IN LIFE.
Don Cook (aka 'DB' or 'Devil Boy'):
Six-string and twelve-string acoustic and electric guitars, bass, harmonica, vocals and control board/sound man.!
Don is a self-taught guitarist. He has been a church musician for over 16 years. He is our equipment man and does all the research for types of equipment to make us sound the best for you for over 10 years. Don is multi-talented and has been known to play the harmonica while working in his day job as the Furniture Medic.
Maggie Rodgers:
Vocals, percussion, acoustic and electric guitar, and drum machine.
Maggie is a music therapist by day, and…according to DB… music terrorist by night. Maggie has been playing with Don and Wally for over 15 years. She's another church musician and vocalist, as well as a music teacher. Your kids may know her as "Miss Maggie".
Wally Drone:
Keyboards, accordion and vocals.
Wally is our seasoned musician with years of experience as a church musician, choir director, accompanist, as well as soloist on organ and piano. Wally plays many parties and weddings. When Harvest Moon takes a break, Wally loves to bring his partner, Betsy (the Accordion), for the"Chicken Dance", "Hokey Pokey" and other fun favorites. Check around--there just might be some married couple you know who had Wally play at their nuptials too.
Anne Behrens:
Anne joined Harvest Moon in May of 2008. A year before she had seen Harvest Moon perform and resolved to join the band when she grew up. She hired Harvest Moon to play for a party at her home and asked to join in on vocals for a couple of songs... and she has been delivering harmonies and hot vocals ever since. She is working hard developing her "chops" on the bass and guitar. Anne has been singing since she was a kid listening to her Mom, who was a vocalist for a "Big Band". Anne rides a dirt bike, is striving to have a guitar in every room of her house and now wants to be P!nk when she grows up.... watch out Alecia!
Terry Lucas aka "I'm Your Handyman"
Terry is a loyal friend who hails from Huntsville, MO. He attends all the gigs he can, and is always there to help with equipment and anything that needs a quick fix. He also makes sure our Bose system generates enough sound to reach throughout the crowd, and that the wine passes the 'taste test'! We love ya, Terry!
